Club House Restaurant, Ullapool Golf Club

The Club House Restaurant occupies the clubhouse at Ullapool Golf Club on North Road, on the rising ground at the north edge of the village. Its dining room and bar are open to non-members as well as to golfers off the course, and the view from the clubhouse windows, across the wide head of Loch Broom toward the An Teallach skyline on the south side, is the practical reason the listing appears on the lunchtime rota for locals as well as visitors.

The food is straightforward clubhouse cooking: soups, sandwiches and a hot lunch menu at midday, a slightly longer dinner menu in the evening, the standard run of west-coast staples (haddock and chips, a steak, a couple of pasta or risotto dishes, a vegetarian option) alongside a daily special. The bar carries a working range of Scottish beers and a longer whisky list, and the room turns over as a community space outside service hours, quiz nights, bridge afternoons, the club’s own social calendar.

Ullapool Golf Club itself is a nine-hole course laid out across the slope above the loch, played as eighteen from two tees. Walkable from central Ullapool in fifteen minutes uphill, drivable in five. The clubhouse is open through the season; reduced winter hours.
