Trossachs Holiday Park is a forty-acre touring and camping site on the A81 at Gartmore, a couple of miles south of Aberfoyle and at the southern boundary of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The site is built around a mature wood of oak and bluebell that runs through the centre of the park and gives the operation its character.
Forty-five touring pitches sit on the serviced ground, mostly with full hook-up (water, drainage, sixteen-amp electricity, television aerial connection); a separate sheltered camping area covers the tent side. The on-site facilities are the working-park complete kit: well-stocked shop, games and television lounge, laundrette, spotless toilets with free showers and hair dryers, a children’s play area and an enclosed dog walk separate from the main woodland path.
The woodland walk through the park is the unusual amenity. The bluebell display through April and May is a small local draw in its own right; the walk loops through mature oak ground and connects to the wider Gartmore estate paths beyond the park boundary. Seasonal and Mini Season touring rates work for visitors who use the park as a return-stop through the year.
The position is one of the best for a touring base on this side of the National Park. Aberfoyle village is a five-minute drive north for shops, food and the Trossachs visitor centre; the Duke’s Pass and Loch Katrine sit fifteen minutes north on the A821; Loch Lomond and the eastern shore villages are twenty minutes west on the B829.
