The Inn at Kippen sits on Fore Road in Kippen village, twelve miles west of Stirling along the A811 and at the foot of the Fintry Hills. The setting is more lowland Stirlingshire than Highland Trossachs (the National Park boundary runs north of the A811), and the inn works as a base for both the Stirling visitor and the National Park visitor without committing fully to either.

The accommodation is three rooms, two doubles and a twin, all well-appointed and recently refurbished, sitting above the restaurant and bar. The inn has its own beer garden running to the back and ample parking on the property. The contemporary-rooms-with-traditional-bar register is the operation’s house style.

The kitchen and bar are the larger half of the operation and run as a destination dining stop for the Stirlingshire-to-Trossachs drive. The cask ales, wine and spirit list cover the standard country-pub range with the malt whisky selection going wider; the kitchen leans on local produce through the year.

The position works practically. Stirling is twelve miles east on the A811, with Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument both forty minutes away by car; Aberfoyle is fifteen miles west on the same road; Edinburgh is an hour east through Stirling on the M9. Walking is on the Fintry Hills behind the village or on the Carron Valley reservoir circuit twenty minutes south.
