Colquhoun’s Restaurant is the dining room of the four-star Lodge on Loch Lomond hotel, just off the A82 a short walk north of Luss village. The restaurant carries two AA Rosettes and is the strongest fine-dining position on the western shore of the loch; the dining room itself is the operation’s defining feature, with full-height windows looking out across the loch to Ben Lomond and the Trossachs hills beyond.
The kitchen runs a Scottish-produce menu through lunch and dinner: Loch Lomond salmon, Highland venison, west-coast shellfish, and the standard supporting cast of seasonal vegetables and dairy from suppliers across the National Park. The Rosettes have been held for several consecutive years, and the AA carrier-rating reflects what a guidebook would expect of the position rather than a surprise.
The restaurant is open to non-residents seven days a week, year-round, and the Lodge takes table bookings from outside guests. Hotel and spa guests use the dining room directly from the residential side of the building; outside guests work in via the main hotel entrance off the A82. The lounge and bar areas adjacent to the restaurant carry a substantial whisky list and a Scottish-leaning wine selection.
Bookings by phone on 01436 860201, by email to res@loch-lomond.co.uk, or via the Lodge website. The hotel is on the A82 a short walk north of Luss village, Argyll, G83 8PA.
