The campsite sits on the Dervaig Road a mile out of Tobermory, on the rising ground above the harbour. The position carries the practical advantages, close enough to the town to walk in for the shops, the ferry and the evening pubs, far enough out to keep some shelter and a view back across the Sound of Mull when the weather lifts.

Pitches run across grass terraces with hard-standings for motorhomes and caravans at the upper end and tent pitches lower down. Power hook-ups, water, drainage and a service block (toilets, showers, a small laundry) are on-site. The site sits above 100 metres on the slope; the wind off the Sound finds it readily on a stormy day, which is worth knowing if you’re pitching a tent in late autumn.

Tobermory is twenty minutes’ walk down the hill into the town, with the harbour, the distillery, the ferries to Kilchoan and the road on to Salen and Craignure. The Dervaig Road carries north past the campsite to Dervaig, Calgary Bay and the Ulva Ferry boat-tour landings.

The site is seasonal, opening through the main camping season and closing in winter. Booking is sensible through the summer, particularly for motorhome pitches with hook-up, which tend to fill in advance.
