Sunnyside is a small self-catering cottage on the rising hillside at Sunnyside above Flowerdale Bay, on the south side of Gairloch village. The position carries the practical advantages, a sea view across the bay and out toward the Skye horizon from the front windows, a small private garden, and a five-minute walk back down into the village centre for the shops, restaurants and the museum at Achtercairn.
The cottage is the standard small-detached self-catering pattern, two bedrooms, sitting room with woodburner, kitchen, bathroom, set up for self-contained stays of a week or shorter breaks shoulder-season. The garden and the position are the cottage’s main draw; Sunnyside as an address is one of the older streets in the south end of Gairloch, sitting on the slope above the Old Inn at Flowerdale Bay and a couple of minutes’ walk from the start of the Flowerdale Glen path up to the falls.
The setting is genuinely quiet despite being so close to the village. The Sunnyside houses sit back from the main A832 in a residential cluster, and the immediate surroundings are gardens and grazing rather than through-traffic.
