Farm Foods (Oban)

Farm Foods is the UK frozen-food discount chain, and Oban’s branch (number 242 in the chain) sits on Dunollie Road at the northern end of the town, three minutes’ drive from the centre and within easy reach of the ferry terminal. The shop is a single-storey unit on the main A85 north-out-of-town road, with parking on site and a row of housing back from the road on the inland side.

The trade Farm Foods does best is the freezer-cabinet basics that the budget-grocery sector handles well: frozen meat and poultry, frozen fish, frozen ready meals, frozen vegetables and chips, and discounted branded ambient grocery and household lines. The Oban branch carries the standard chain range; nothing about the floor plan or stock is regional or distinctive.
