Mull Taxi Services

Mull Taxi Services is the owner-operated taxi running out of Tobermory at the north end of the Isle of Mull. The fleet is small and the operation is one of the few options for a metered ride on the island, which matters when the bus timetable does not match a ferry arrival or when a walking party needs an early lift up to a trailhead.

The standard work is the airport-and-ferry shuttle pattern that any small-island taxi runs: Glenforsa to Tobermory pickups for the air taxi that occasionally flies in to the grass strip, Craignure ferry pickups for guests heading to a Tobermory B&B with luggage, late-evening returns from Calgary or Dervaig restaurants. The longer fares run as far as the south of the island and out to the Iona ferry at Fionnphort.

The taxi works on a phone-ahead and online-booking basis rather than a rank, so booking ahead is sensible particularly through the high season and on ferry days when demand is concentrated. Outside the peak season the timetable is flexible and the operator will arrange specific journeys for early-morning hill starts or late-evening returns.
